BJP wants 130 seats!

The fight over seat sharing between Bharatiya Janata Party and Shiv Sena is mounting each day. On Sunday, Sena chief Uddhav clarified that they could offer only 119 seats to BJP while Shiv Sena wants to contest in anything above 150 number. After this announcement, BJP is responding very cautiously keeping the two decades bond in mind. However, with just five days to go before filing of nominations for assembly elections in Maharashtra closes, the consensus are yet to reach a solution.

Latest we have that BJP wants to contest in at least 130 seats which five seats less than what initially they proposed. Shiv Sena is yet to comment on this while the smaller parties in the Mahayuti [Grand allaince] are coming forward to sacrifice. Also the BJP Maharashtra sources are very much ready to contest alone but it will be a difficult task post the election results, if no party comes out with a magic figure to form government in the state.

There are 288 seats in the Maharashtra assembly. The BJP wants both parties to contest 135 seats each and leave 18 for smaller parties. In negotiations it has said it can come down to 130 seats. So as the date is nearing, the political heat in Maharashtra is also touching new levels. Shiv Sena would reveal their decision today and it will be a final word of the Sena.
