Decision on Special Package shortly

The Union minister for state, Nirmala Sitharaman has said that the 'Special Package' decision to Andhra Pradesh state will arrive shortly in couple of days. Nirmala was in Vizag city for a two day trip and she was honoured by the local BJP leaders. Speaking on the occasion, Nirmala said the government has appointed a six  member committee regarding granting the special package to the state. This committee is already working on it and will submit its report to government in two days. A decision on special package will arrive on 25th of this month.

Nirmala also added that the NDA government is committed for developing Vizag - Chennai corridor and knows the troubles AP state is facing. "Vizag - Chennai" corridor comes under my ministry and I am up for this project and hope to complete as early as possible. I also thank AP CM Chandrababu Naidu and AP state MPs for nominating me for Rajya Sabha from state," said Nirmala.

Andhra Pradesh state is running with Rupees 15,000 crores deficit and the government has taken up to waive the farm loans which has doubled its financial problems. AP government is also demanding special category status to it and if special package is granted, then the government is considering to push for special category status too.
