Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today assured that the government is ready to extend the fund limit if people are benefitted from a particular welfare programme. While addressing the BC welfare meeting in Hyderabad, CM specified that the government was willing to extend the fund limits for development programmes which had people's support. He requested the officers to adhere to the various norms and see that maximum were benefitted by each scheme. He also assured them that the government has allotted Rs 3000 Cr for the welfare schemes in this budget and is prepared to extend the same if people are supporting the initiative and if required.

He also said that encouragement to backward students must not be restricted to just on caste basis but must be extended to financial backward too irrespective of castes. He also requested the concerned officials, gathered at the venue, to extend the necessary help to students from all castes hailing from financial backward sections.
