The YSR Congress party president Jaganmohan Reddy lashed out at TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu over his alleged statements on BC welfare. The party has come out with the statistics to make a point that how the then hi-tech CM has neglected the weaker section people in his nine year rule.

Comparing and contrasting the governments led by TD supremo Chandrababu Naidu and Y S Rajashekara Reddy, the YSR Congress party stated that late YSR sanctioned 1,568 crore rupees towards the  welfare of people  whereas the money spend on them by Babu-during his nine year term-was 348 rupees, added the party.

The party has even quoted the budget during the term of two leaders and said YSR regime was a memorable period in the history of the state politics. The party has also said that the words of Babu against Jagan were uttered in sheer frustration as the people dismissed his rumours against YSR and his family.

The YSR Congress party spokesperson Gattu Ramachandra Rao has said that the TDP was trying to portray YSR as anti BC, but it was vice-versa. Chandrababu Naidu is fearing the defeat of TDP in by-polls while Jagan’s meetings are evoking good response from the public, he added.

It looks like YSR Congress has already attracted BCs and allegations of TDP may not work in the by-polls to 18 assembly constituencies.  (Phani)
