Killer bolt to lost memory stick

Destroy the data on a lost memory chip, if you are not just satisfied then destroy the chip itself. No internet required, but the technology costs you 25 pounds a month.

Most sensitive matter slipping out is attributed to the loose of Memory Chips. These memory chips are very important to all of us as bundles of important information are stored in them. And how desperate we turn, if these are lost is a regular experience. However the loss is felt bitterly if those contain some highly-confidential documents. Now Exact Trak has launched a memory stick called Security Guardian, this encrypts the memory chip and a SIM card. Hence it can be tracked by GPS and GSM triangulation. But the access is right now restricted to the US and soon it shall spread.

The product first reported in the Daily Mail can block files and information on the lost memory chip. And if wanted further users can send a high-voltage charge directly into the stick, melting the internal chip and erasing everything contained on it. All this for your security could be done without an internet connection and even if the device is connected to a computer or not. ExactTrak is currently working with Government and corporate clients, developing a range of products that provide mobile data security and asset recovery. Administrators can also set a policy so that the device will automatically disable its memory if it has been unable to check in with the ExactTrak cloud service for any length of time.
