Bollywood actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar passed away on Monday at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. He was 64 and his last rites will be performed in his native place in Ahmednagar district on Tuesday, family sources said.

Amrapurkar was battling with lung infection, was put on ventilator support and had been in a critical condition for the past few days. He made his debut with Govind Nihalani’s acclaimed Ardh Satya in 1983. However since 2000s, Amrapurkar was more confined to Marathi films and he was last seen in Bombay Talkies.
