Well, much before the release, the movie was in news for all good reasons and post release it had hit the headlines for controversies.

One of the Telugu film producers raised an interesting debate after he told a vernacular daily that super star Rajnikanth would pay him for the losses that he suffered from 3 movie. He said that he had spent six crore rupees on the film’s distribution rights and publicity and in turn he received 1.70 crore rupees.

It may be noted that the film-although created much hype months before its release-fell flat before the box office with people posting messages on social networking sites that the film didn’t live up to their expectations. Also, the film distributors expressed their vain as the film-although managed to draw people to theatres on first day-eventually witnessed the decline in number of people who thronged theatres.

Meanwhile, Rajnikanth reacted to the statement given by Natti Kumar and said that he was no way connected with film 3. He released a letter in Tamil that confirmed the same. On the other hand, Dhanush has said that the film didn’t incur losses. (Phani)
