Mega Star To Quit Politics; Continue Acting? April 25, 2017 17:16

Going by the prevailing conditions, looks like Megastar Chiranjeevi wants to bid adieu to politics and seriously pursue his career as an actor. The super success of his recent film, Khaidi No.150, has given a new boost to the actor. After the success of the film, the actor is looking elated and is totally enjoying the success. It also seems that Chiru has distanced himself from the political works and has not made any political statements in the recent times. Additionally, when music director, MM Keeravani during the actor’s show, Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu, asked about his entry into cinemas, Chiru responded quite positively and said “May be. If you strongly wish for it, may be destiny too happen as per your wish.” With the megastar himself responding positively on quitting politics, and followed by his son Ram Charan’s statement to support his uncle and Power Star, Pawan Kalyan, it socially looks like, Chiru is considering to quit politics. Since he has already given up his Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) and joined Congress that is routed in AP totally, Chiru may not be interested to join any political party at this juncture and looks like he is jumping so many political parties. The mega power star, Charan already has made an announcement about Chiru’s 151st movie with Surender Reddy, followed by Chiru’s 152 with Boyapati Sreenu. This looks like Chiru's plate is full with films and he is slowly quitting politics. Probably, Chiru wants to follow Amitab Bachchan and continue just in films. Strong rumors which are doing rounds in the Tollywood industry and media circles is of actor Nithin joining politics. It is buzz that the tollywood hero, Nithin is going to take a plunge into active politics and is most likely to head the Telangana unit of the Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s party, Jana Sena, shortly. However, it is a well known open secret in the film industry that Nithin is a staunch follower of Power Star. Nithin, right from the days of his movie Ishq, has been openly supporting Pawan Kalyan and in fact, has become a member of the core team of the Power Star. You would be even surprised to know that Pawan regularly sends fruits from his farm house to Nithin. And more importantly, Pawan Kalyan refrains himself from film functions of any of the mega family members, right from Chiranjeevi to Ram Charan to Varun Tej, but he does not miss any functions of Nithin.  Such has been the close association between the two actors. There have even been reports that Nithin is doing a film in the production house of Pawan Kalyan. So, there is no surprise that when Pawan Kalyan announced expansion of his party unit across Telangana and Andhra, the name of Nithin has come into action. Currently, Pawan Kalyan is mostly involved in his party activities in Andhra and he needs a close friend to take up the party work in Telangana. And there could be no better person than Nithin, says sources. Apart for being a crazy fan of the Power Star, Nithin is also financially sound and hence, can handle the party affairs successfully, say sources. However, the news is not confirmed yet, either from Pawan Kalyan or Nithin. Nithin to Work with Trivikram and Pawan Kalyan By Supraja

Bombay HC Grants Bail To Malegaon Blasts Accused Sadhvi Pragya April 25, 2017 13:54

The Bombay High Court (HC) granted bail to Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, the accused in the September 29, 2008 Maharashtra’s Malegaon blasts. A bail amount of Rs 5 lakh and 2 sureties were ordered to furnish bail to Pragya. According to a news agency, the HC directed Pragya to surrender her passport to the NIA. It also directed her not to tamper the evidence and to report to NIA court as and when required. Sadhvi Pragya is believed to be a member of Abhinav Bharat, a Hindu extremist outfit apparently floated by military officer Lt Col Prasad Shrikant Purohit. However, the bail was refused to the co-accused in the case, Purohit, who is still serving imprisonment. From the past 9 years, Thakur was in jail, though she was moved to a hospital due to serious illness. The NIA on January 19, told the Bombay HC, that it has no objection if the HC grants bail to Thakur. Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh, appearing for NIA, said the agency has already held the stringent provisions of Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA). However, after the decision of the Supreme Court, the NIA dropped charges under MCOCA against Sadhvi and Purohit. The appeal filed by Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur is allowed, while the appeal filed by Prasad Purohit stands dismissed, said a division bench of Justices Ranjit More and Shalini Phansalkar Joshi. The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) charge sheet stated that Sadhvi's scooter was used for the blast by prime accused Ram Kalsangra (absconding). Kalsangra’s brother Shivnarayan, who is the second accused in the case, has been telling the trial court that his brother was “eliminated by police officers.” Meanwhile, various other prime witnesses have retracted their statements and complained that they were forced by the ATS to say false things in their statements. Considering all this, we (NIA) have no objection to the court granting bail to applicant (Sadhvi),” said Anil Singh. Since, no evidence was found against her, Sadhvi is to be released on bail, added the HC. Seven people were killed, and 100 injured in the blast at Malegaon, a communally-sensitive textile town of Nasik district in North Maharashtra. By Supraja

Mega Power Star Asks Fans To Support Power Star April 25, 2017 12:08

In a significant political development, Mega Power Star and actor, Ram Charan, has asked fans to support Power star and his uncle, Pawan Kalyan. Charan was seen addressing fans in one of the regular meetings, while he was shooting for his ongoing film (Chitti Babu) near Rajamundry. A large section of fans turned out to meet Ram Charan. Ram Charan was quoted as saying to fans, “Meeru Andaru Pawan Baabayi ki Andaga Vundali. Rajakeeyam ga ayina…leka mari inkendulo ayina...mee andari support Baabayi ki vundali.” These comments of Ram Charan have now drawn interesting debate among mega fans. While Charan’s father and Mega Star Chiranjeevi, is very much associated with Congress and still continuing as the party’s Rajya Sabha member, Charan said to be asking fans to support Pawan and His party Janasena is definitely note-taking. The mega power star, on many occasions, extended support to his uncle. But when it comes to politics, Charan has maintained that his support is only to his father. Now that Charan told fans to support Pawan, it has to be seen whether Chiru too  would join Janasena or not. Already, another brother Naga Babu has openly stated that he would join Janasena and is willing to work for the party. Charan’s comments have further increased the speculations that mega brothers Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan are in quite good terms, unlike rumors that surfaced during Khaidi pre-release function which saw Pawan’s absence. Well, this is certainly a celebrating moment for mega fans. Click Here For Ram Charan Meets Fans at RC11 Shooting Stills By Supraja

RPS Beat MI On Sachin Tendulkar’s Birthday; Completes Hattrick Of Wins April 25, 2017 11:49

The Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) completed a hat-trick of wins in the tenth edition of Indian Premier League as they spoiled Mumbai Indians (MI)’s party on Sachin Tendulkar’s birthday to seal a three–run win here in Mumbai, yesterday. The loss was MI’s first defeat in IPL on the Little Master’s birthday. The Steve Smith-led unit, which needed to defend 16 runs in the 20th over, held its nerve in the last-over finish to better their head to head record to 3-1 against MI and also became the only side in this year’s IPL to have beaten MI; both at home and away thus far. Needing 161 runs to win the game and to seal their seventh consecutive win in the tenth edition of the Indian Premier League, MI fumbled in the chase despite skipper Rohit Sharma’s 39-ball 58-run knock. For RPS, Ben Stokes (2/21) starred with the ball while Jaydev Unadkat also scalped 2 wickets conceding 40 runs. Jos Buttler (17 off 13 balls) was the first man to return to the dug-out as Ben Stokes held onto an easy catch off Washington Sundar’s bowling. The young off-spinner scalped another wicket as he removed Parthiv Patel (33 off 27 balls) on the final ball of the spell. Daniel Christian, meanwhile cut short Nitish Rana’s (3 off 9 balls) stay in the middle as he sandwiched a wicket between the dismissals of MI openers. At the halfway stage of the MI chase, RPS were in a stronger position to move to the fourth spot in points table. Their position, despite a dropped catch by Manoj Tiwary, was strengthened further as Stokes broke through the defence of Karn Sharma (11 off 10 balls), who was pushed ahead of Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya. RPS then missed two chances in space of four balls to dismiss Rohit and push MI on the backfoot. First, Unadkat missed a direct hit and then Ajinkya Rahane failed to grab a difficult catch near the deep midwicket boundary off Imran Tahir’s bowling. Tahir though got his first wicket as skipperSmith took an excellent catch to give RPS their fifth wicket in the form of Pollard (9 off 9 balls). The Pune team captain ran from long-off towards deep extra-cover to complete a running catch. Rohit, meanwhile, made the most of his luck to bring his first fifty of IPL 2017. However, he could not help MI cross the finish line as Unadkat completed a caught and bowled dismissal in the final over of the MI chase. Earlier, after put in to bat, RPS started off well as Rahane (38 off 32 balls) and Rahul Tripathi (45 off 31 balls) scored 48 runs in the powerplay over. While Tripathi just took off from where he had left in the last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rahane, whose form had dipped following his 60-run knock against MI in the first game, looked in good touch before getting out off Karn Sharma’s bowling in the 10th over. Karn, who was making his debut for MI, struck once again as Kieron Pollard made no mistake holding on to a skier to end Tripathi’s innings. The leg-spinner could have added one more wicket to his account but Harbhajan Singh dropped Smith in the deep as MI missed a chance to scalp their second wicket in the 12th over. Bhajji though made amends in the next over as he disturbed the timber to send the Australian skipper packing for 17. Stokes (17 off 12 balls) was the next man to get out as a Mitchell Johnson delivery cleaned him up in the 17th over. MI dashed RPS’ hopes of big total as Jasprit Bumrah dismissed MS Dhoni (7 off 11 balls). The former India skipper dragged the ball onto his stumps while going for a wild heave through the leg side. While Tiwary scored quickfire 22 off 13 balls, RPS failed to cash in on a bright start and could only score 160. Score Card: Royal Challengers Bangalore Bowled Out For 49 By KKR By Supraja
