Mamata finds place in Time's 100 most influential people list

With Time magazing tagging the Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi as one of world’s most influential persons, Modi enjoyed much fame in the political circle.

This time, the Time had someone else’s photo on mind. Wonder who is that? Noneotherthan, our own didi - the chief minister of West Bengal, Trinamul Congress chief, Mamata Banerjee.

She might face criticism in our country-as there is always an opposition to any successful and devoted person-but the prestigious Time magazine recognized her dynamism and the magazine game her the place among top 100 most influential people of the world.

The Time magazine said that Mamata Banerjee’s lower middleclass background was no obstacle to reach coveted post in a country notorious for dynasties.
Mamata Banerjee now joins the elite club of people who inspire people globally including the US president Barack Obama, billionaire Warren Buffet and Facebook COO Sherly Sandberg. Mamata secured 92nd position. There was also another Indian-Anjali Gopalan-- who was listed by the Time. Anjali runs an orphanage for HIV positive.

Didi says, she dedicates the inclusion of her name in Time magazine to the people of West Bengal.

Known as one of the dynamic politicians that India ever witnessed, Mamata Banerjee reportedly implements whatever she has in mind.  Probably the fate of West Bengal will soon be changed with Mamata Banerjee's ideas, plans and schemes. (Phani)
