Modi offers medical help to Vilasrao Deshmukh

Narendra Modi, the chief minister of Gujarat had asked all the health department officials on Sunday to offer help to the Senior Congress leader and Union Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh who is presently living on life support at a hospital in Chennai after he had been suffering from a failed kidney and liver.

He had asked all the heath departments of Gujarat to make the necessary arrangements to find a cadaver liver as soon as possible on top priority for the ailing Union Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh.

Modi tweeted, “Instructed Gujarat's health department to procure cadaver liver on top priority for Vilasrao Deshmukh, who is undergoing treatment,” in an attempt to offer medical help to the minister.

Vilasrao Deshmukh, former chief minister of Maharashtra was shifted to Chennai where he was expected to get a liver transplant but the doctors have decided against the transplantation for the present time until he recuperates a little.
