No deportation to Dharun Ravi

The federal immigration authorities here have confirmed the media that former Rutgers University student, Dharun Ravi, who is facing imprisonment would for filming the private moments of his gay friend, would not be deported to India. It is known that the entire filming episode resulted in the suicide of his gay friend. It is known that court sentenced him 30 days of imprisonment but he would be released next week after serving 20 days in prison as the court gave 10 days credit for his behaviour and work at the jail.

It may be noted that US deports the criminals who complete the term at prisons. But, the  US Immigrations and Customs Enforcement said Dharun Ravi would not face deportation since the webcame case was his first law breaking activity.
