Sai Dharam Tej- Only mega hero who did this May 06, 2016 08:57

Three mega heroes released their movies this Summer, and among them, only it is Sai Dharam Tej, who made it big, with the positive talk, right from the first show. Pawan Kalyan’s Sardaar Gabbar Singh got released last month, and ended up with the losses to the distributors. Pawan, who felt sorry for all such distributors, offered the rights of his next movie with SJ Surya, at the lesser cost. On the other hand, Allu Arjun’s Sarrainodu too was in the Summer race. The movie has opened to the mixed reviews all over. Due to the over dosage of the violence, the movie could not reach the expectations of the audience. Then came the third mega hero, Sai Dharam Tej, with Supreme yesterday. The film has garnered the positive reviews from all over and has concreted the position of Sai Dharam Tej, as a full fledged action hero of Tollywood. However, the market of this starter cannot be compared with the big mega heroes. But the analysts say, as Barhmotsavam still has time to hit the screens, before Mahesh’s movie, Supreme can grab the collections to its best. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the film has Rashee Khanna in the female lead role and Sai Kartheek gave the music for this Dil Raju’s production venture. By Phani Ch

14-15 new districts in Telangana, this year! May 06, 2016 07:58

The Telangana government, this year would increase the number of districts in the Telangana state to 24-25, including the 10 existing ones, besides an additional 40 mandals. Telangana Chief Minister KCR discussed about the same with the Deputy Chief Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali and other senior officials of the party. An announcement of new districts would be made on June 2nd, which is Telangana State Formation Day. “New districts will come into existence either from August 15 or Dasara. Functions will also be held accordingly. Mandals will also be reorganised for administrative convenience. Smaller districts can be administered better. For every eight to 10 mandals, there will be a revenue division,” KCR said. CM instructed Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma to take immediate steps for carving out the new districts and mandals in the state. Currently, Telangana state, with a population of 3.5 crore, has 10 districts, 42 revenue divisions and 464 revenue mandals. As the Central government is considering to increase the number of assembly constituencies from 119 to 153, KCR said even the state government should carve out the new districts and mandals in tune with it for administrative convenience. “Travelling long distances within a district is causing hardship to both officials and people. Smaller districts can be administered better. Hyderabad has developed rapidly and the similar developments should also be witnessed in the other places of the state. Increase in districts and mandals will also increase the employment opportunities and provide promotions to the government employees,” KCR explained. By Phani Ch

Vamana Purana- Only Purana to detail avatars May 05, 2016 16:27

Vamana Purana is the only Purana, that gives a detailed and comprehensive account of the avatars, along with a number of other topics, including Puranas characteristics. Order of Vamana Purana Vamana Purana, according to Vishnu Purana, stands in the 14th rank in the Puranas order. However, Devi Bhagavata allotted it 8th and Linga Purana 13th positions. All these Puranas claim Vamana Purana as Mahapurana. Origin of Vamana Purana Sage Pulastya narrated Vamana Purana to Narada. Then in Naimisharanya, upon asked by other sages, Narada narrated it to them. Another edition says that Romaharshana Suta narrated to sages from Naimisharanya. First verse of Vamana Purana Below is the first verse of Vamana Purana, which salutes lord Vishnu in the Vamana form.Trailokyarajyamacchidya balerindraya yo dadau |                     Namastasyai sureshaya sada vamanarupin Structure of Vamana Purana 10000 verses in total, are believed to be included in the Vamana Purana. It consists 5813 stanzas and 5 prose pieces which are stotras. Date of Vamana Purana It is widely believed to be composed between 100 AD to 200 AD. But Dr Vasudevasharana Agarwal says it was 7th AD. Subject matter of Vamana Purana Vamana Purana’s subject matter is described at its very beginning, where Narada asks Pulastya about assuming Vamana form by Vishnu, waging of a war by Prahalada, though a Bhagwata, against Gods acceptance of wifehood of Siva by Sati, the daughter of Daksha, the glory of the place of pilgrimage, account of Dana, vrata, Upasana, etc. From the above information, it is evident that, Vamana Purana is originally a Vaishnava Purana, which gives an equal reverence to Saivism and other religious sects. Vamana deals with Karma-vipaka the duty of castes and asramas, general customs, eatables and non-eatables, purity and impurity and Vishnu- worship. However, Vamana lacks, all the 5 themes and characteristics of the older  Mahapuranas. Also read: Do your duty without attachment According to this Purana, lord Brahma taught 3 objects of existence in connection with the greatness of Trivikarma, which treats, Vamana-kalpa and which consists of 10000 verses is called the Vamana Purana. There is no mention of the Vamana kalpa, nor is the Purana said to have been narrated by Brahma. The Saiva materials in the current Vamana, differing with the title and content given in the Matsya and the Skanda, show that, the Purana in its earlier form was a Vaishnava treatise, and was later recast by Siva worshippers, who changed the work with additions and alterations and made only little content available. The Vamana Purana contains much material on Geography, sociology, history, culture and philosophy of ancient India. In the several places of Purana, the Pauranic narratives are lifted to the refinement of the greater art. The purana exhibits a variety of meters and poetic embellishments.By Phani Ch

KCR, Naidu fires at each other after long May 05, 2016 10:03

Telangana Chief Minister KCR warned Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu and YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy not to “play petty politics over the sentiments of Telangana people or the state’s irrigation projects.”Naidu said that, he is not going to compromise until the AP gets its rightful share of Krishna river water. He alleged that, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Telangana have been utilizing Krishna water due to which water levels at Srisailam and Nagarjunasagar projects have come down drastically. Countering this, KCR said, “Telangana will utilise its share of waters 100%. For the sake of your petty politics, don’t play with the Telangana people. Don’t wake up the sleeping Telangana tiger or else you will be mauled.”“I very well know the drama enacted by Chandrababu and Jagan. They are using Telangana peoples’ shoulders to fire at their targets. They will face serious consequences,” KCR said. KCR added that, the TRS government in the state, sanctioned several new irrigation projects and earmarked Rs. 25000 crore annually in the budget. From ‘Alampur to Bharachalam’, the state sought friendly ties with Maharashtra, Karnataka and AP. “Naidu is unnecessarily creating disturbances among the people in both the states. Is there not enough water in the Godavari,” KCR questioned Chandrababu and Jagan. Telangana CM opined that, even after utilizing the water by two states, there is surplus water in the river. After the cash for vote and phone conversation disturbances between the dual Telugu state CMs, Naidu tried to avoid targeting KCR and made few friendly gestures. But again it is now, after a long time, the two biggies are firing at each other. How far this leads to and how would get troubled with the consequences, is  to be seen.By Phani Ch
