With the help of Jasvir Singh’s seven points and Amit Hooda’s solid defense, Jaipur Pink Panthers thrashed Dabang Delhi KC at 44th game of fourth season of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League at Dome@NSCI SVP stadium in Mumbai on Thursday. Meraj Sheykh’s 11 points also were not enough for Delhi KC to win the game.
Jaipur Pink Panthers have reached the top spot with 42 points by winning 7 games in total of 12 games while Dabang Delhi KC are at seventh spot with 21 points and winning 3 games of the total 10, in the points tally.
Panthers’ raiders took time and could not perform well at the initial stage as Delhi KC were leading at 3-1 after four minutes. Ajay Kumar scored firs raid point for Panthers but he was soon countered by Kashling Adake who scored a raid point and the brought the score to 4-2. Jasvir Singh helped Panthers with scoring 2 important raid points to level the score at 4-4 after eight minutes. In the 10th minute Panthers cored their first all out getting a lead of 9-5. Before the break both the teams gathered few points as in 13th minute Kashling Adake scored a raid point. But Ajay Kumar scored a point again to give his team 11-9 lead. From Delhi, at the 18th minute, Selvamani scored a raid point taking the lead to 12-11. However, just before the lunch, Ajay Kumar scored two raid points taking the score to 14-11 till the end of the first half.
Later, bringing back the momentum in the second half, Panthers quickly scored two raid points in first three minutes. Both the teams scored tackle and raid points in next few minutes. After 31 minutes Jaipur led 18-16. Jasvir Singh agains scored two raid points after 35 minutes to provide his team 22-16 lead. It was very close call when Meraj Sheykh lowered down the deficit to just one point in 38th minute. Eventually, Rajesh Narwal scored an important raid in the dying seconds as Jaipur closed the game on a winning note at 24-22.
