Next-generation Range Rover to be unveiled today

Tata Motors has prepped itself for the unveiling of its latest automobile in the Range Rover section at London two weeks prior to its launch at the Paris Motor Show which would take place on September 27.

The next-generation Range Rover is the first SUV from the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) house of the Tata Motors to use an all-aluminium monocoque body. This drastically reduced the weight of the vehicle which currently is 420kg lesser than it predecessor.

The monococue body helps bolster the vehicle's structural road and it does so without enveloping the vehivle. This reduced the load on the internal flame which usually bears the weight.

Codenamed L405, the new Range Rover, bears a semblance to the Range Rover Evoque and this similarity is more pronounced in the Grille and the Headlamps.

This is a longer vehicle than the existing model. The new version is equipped with a new version of the Terrain Response feature, which can sense the terrain the vehicle is in and adjust its setting accordingly.

The body has been made to be a little wider, longer and the ride height has bee set lower.
This five-door off-roader will be available in three engine variants-V8 petrol, V8 diesel and V6 diesel.
