World Bank to invest in Swachh Bharat

The World Bank could invest over a billion dollars in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pet project  'Swachh Bharat' campaign. In an exclusive interview to a channel World Bank India Director, Onno Ruhl said, the Washington based lender has big plans to support Modi's projects. But the bank wants to invest in those areas where it could get realistic results.

Work Bank is heard to be targeting the low-income states in India and a special team has been roped to design specific programme to support the Swachh Bharat campaign. The World Bank representative hailed the campaign and hoped that it brings behavioural change.
