Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has been named as Brand Ambassador of ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. This third biggest sporting event will be hosted by Australia and New Zealand jointly from February 14 to March 29th . It will be the second successive time Sachin would act as ambassador to the ICC World Cup and he will be part of ICC initiatives to promote the game.

Sachin has played six editions of World Cup from 1992 to 2011. He is also the leading the list of cricketers who have played more matches and scored most runs. Sachin has played 45 World Cup matches and scored 2,278 runs at average of 56. In 2003 World Cup, Sachin was named 'Man of the Tournament' for scoring most runs, however Team India finished second as they lost to Australia in the finals.
