Prime Minister Narendra Modi never misses any opportunity to grab the attention and he did the same ahead of his first Japan tour. Modi posted a series of ten tweets this morning, out of which eight are in Japanese languages. The PM also explained the reason for tweeting in the foreign language too.

“Am particularly excited to meet PM @AbeShinzo . I deeply respect his leadership & enjoy a warm relationship with him from previous meetings. Japan's friendship with India is time tested. We are 2 vibrant democracies committed to advancing peace & prosperity in the world @AbeShinzo,” wrote Modi in English first. Then he posted eight tweets in Japanese version.

Later Modi thanked the translator who helped in a separate tweet.
