Coronavirus active case load crosses 50,000 in India:- The Covid-19 new tally of cases saw a sudden rise in India from the past one week. In less than a week, a total number of 50,000 new cases are reported which is a sign that the new cases are increasing on a faster note. A total number of 6594 new cases are reported in India and this took the total tally of coronavirus cases to 4,32,30,101. There are 47,995 active cases which was below 10,000 in the last week. The active cases saw a sudden rise from the past one week ever since the new cases have been increasing. There are 4,26,57,335 recoveries reported in total in India and the death toll reached 5,24,771 after 11 new deaths are reported in the country.

The active cases comprise of 0.12 percent of the total number of infections and the national recovery rate is reported as 98.67 peercent. The daily positivity rate is reported as 2.05 percent and the weekly positivity rate is said to be 2.32 percent as per the reports from the Union Health Ministry. The number of doses of vaccination for coronavirus in India are at 195.35 crores. Maharashtra, Kerala continued to report high number of cases and Mumbai is the top contributor for Maharashtra. Mumbai also reported the first case of BA.4 and BA.5 variants. All the patients are admitted to Kasturba Gandhi Hospital. The number of daily cases of coronavirus in Delhi crossed 1000 mark for the day for the first time in the recent times.
