Kashmir on High Alert: School Shut and Internet Suspended: After the Indian Intelligence suspected terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, the state has been kept under high alert. Three prominent leaders  Mehbooba Mufti, Omar Abdullah and Sajad Lone were kept under house arrest from Sunday. All the schools and educational institutions are shut down and the internet facilities across the state are suspended. Massive security cover has been imposed and all the tourists from the state have been sent back. 144 section was imposed and it would remain active till further orders.

There will be a complete bar on public meetings and other rallies in Jammu and Kashmir. Identity cards of the service officials will be treated as movement passes. Officials said National Conference (NC) leader Omar Abdullah and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s Mehbooba Mufti would not be allowed to move out of their houses in view of strict security measures. Centre asked the people to stay calm till situations turn peaceful. All the crucial leaders of Jammu and Kashmir are expected to meet Prime Minister, President soon.
