Petrol And Diesel Prices Hiked: Reaches All Time High:- The hike in the petrol and diesel prices created a stir all over. The hike in the price of petrol hit four-year high with Rs 73.73 a litre in the national capital. While the prices of diesel reached all time high touching Rs 64.58. After the state owned oil firms revising the prices on regular basis hiked the prices on Sunday. The price of petrol was highest in September 2014 and how it reached the highest. Diesel was Rs 64.22 during February 2018 and now it reached all time high.

Despite of the Oil Ministry seeking reduction in the excise duty on petrol and diesel, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley ignored their calls during the budget. India has the highest retail prices of petrol and diesel among South Asian nations. The prices of petrol and diesel have been revised on regular basis since June last year. State-owned oil companies: Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum Corporation and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation stepped out with the decision of daily revision of prices.
