New Online App Launched By Warangal Mayor:- A new Android-based “Grievance-Cum-Online Citizen Services Centre” app has been launched today by Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) Mayor N Narender.

The app was launched at the corporation head office in warangal. Narendar speaking after launching the app said, the citizens with this new app could get services in transparent manner. All the complaints can be directly registered using this app and get them solved. It works like a round the clock grievance cell.

The app helps to improve the accountability among the officials and staff of the corporation. Through the app, around 29 services were being offered online and the public need not visit the corporation offices to get their works done, noted the Mayor.

Under the guidance of Commissioner and Director for Municipal Administration (CDMA), the app was developed. The application, for the citizens of GWMC, has been made available with the name “GWMC Citizen Buddy” in the Google play store.

Narendar further informed that the app contains the information regarding the GWMC, the population, geographic area, the officials of the 58 divisions under the GWMC including public representatives, a staff directory and others. The Mayor even appealed the citizens to make use of the app and help the GWMC making Warangal one of the best cities in the nation. A campaign would be soon taken up to create awareness among the public regarding the app.

Earlier, “Swachhata App” as part of Swachhata ranking survey, was launched by the GWMC. However, the app was limited to sanitary grievances alone. Citizens can complain about all the issues related to the civic body services with this new app. Standing committee members Vaddiraju Ganesh, B Damodar Yadav and M Devender, councillors V Bikshapathi, K Venugopal, B Swamry, P Swarnalatha and others were present at the launch of the app.
