The Apollo Hospital Chairman Pratap C Reddy , on Friday, clarified that the chief minister of Tamil Nadu Jayalalithaa has completely recovered from her illness and she will now decide when she wants to get discharge from the hospital.

While speaking to the reporters, Mr. Reddy said, “All I can say is, very clearly, she is very satisfied...What I mean by very satisfied, that means she has completely recovered. She is aware of what is going on around her.”

“She is completely aware of what is happening. Asks and demands what she wants and I believe and everybody, even she, is looking forward when she will go home and take back the reins,” he added.

Earlier, All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhgam leader said that Jayalathaa's health is fully under control and she will not be taken into a private room from a Critical Care Unit (CCU).

“The lung infection is under control. She has passed the critical stage. The respiratory system is being weaned away. It is being used on and off,” the senior AIADMK leader had said.

He also added that since last one week the chief minister of Tamil Nadu were having semi-solid food, Ponnaiyan and she is also speaking with people now.

On September 22, the 68-year-old Jayalalithaa were admitted into the Apollo Hospital after her complained of fever and dehydration. Finance Minister of Tamil Nadu, O Panneerselvam had become the interim chief minister in her absence.
