4 YSRCP MLAs, 1 MLC join TDP

Four MLAs from YSRCP and one MLC have joined TDP officially yesterday in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

Nandyal MLA and former Public Accounts Committee chairman Bhuma Nagi Reddy and his daughter, Allagadda MLA Bhuma Akhila Priya Reddy, along with few other YSRC party activists were said to be quit YSRCP, a few days ago.

Regarding this, the party chief, Jagan Mohan Reddy tried to convince the leaders and even recently few YSRCP MLAs have conducted a press meet and announced that they are not going to quit the party under any circumstances.

However, they did not reveal anything about Bhuma and his team. It was then Bhuma’s team joining in TDP was almost confirmed.

Making the speculations true, Bhuma Nagireddy, Akhila Priya, Vijayawada West MLA Jaleel Khan, Jammala-madugu MLA C. Adinarayana Reddy, his elder brother and MLC C. Narayana Reddy have joined TDP yesterday, meeting Naidu at his residence in Vijayawada.

Saying that, they have joined TDP for the development, the five leaders also added that, they would not quit their seats.

Before YSRCP MLAs entry into TDP, Naidu discussed with the party leaders from the respective Assembly constituencies and explained them the necessity of inducting the MLAs into the party.

Mr Shilpa Mohan Reddy, Mr Shila Chakrapani Reddy from Nandyal, former minister Ramasubba Reddy and Ms Laxmi Devamma, wife of slain legislator P. Siva Reddy of Jam-malamadugu, had met Mr Naidu to discuss about the new entrants.

On one side, opining that it would be difficult to adjust with the newcomers, TDP MLAs also said that, they would respect Naidu’s desire of strengthening the party.

“They have killed my husband and son, it will be difficult to adjust with such a person in TD. We have lost everything and have become financially weak, but we will be in the TD forever, we respect Chandrababu Naidu’s desire of strengthening the party,” Laxmi Devamma told the media at Vijayawada.

Meanwhile, Naidu assured them, that the interests of all the leaders in the party, would be protected.

If the sources are to be believed, more number of MLAs from YSRCP were expected to join the TDP in the coming days.
