Hyderabadi heart failed to save Pakistani

The Hyderabadi heart, which was taken all the way from Hyderabad to Chennai failed to save the boy, as he was dead even after the heart transplantation.

As we discussed yesterday, a Hyderabadi lost his life in an accident and within few hours of it, the hospital officials came to know that, a Pakistani guy was in need of it, who was suffering from dilated cardiomyopathy, a condition in which the heart muscles balloon out and become enlarged, and so, cannot pump efficiently.

The Frontier Lifeline Hospital officials, who is treating the Pakistani boy brought the heart all the way from Hyderabad to Chennai. They transplanted the heart to the boy with utmost care, but even then, that could not save the boy from losing his life.

Hyderabadi heart to Pakistani, Heart transplantation

The doctor who treated the boy said that, “the pressure in his lungs had gone up drastically and even after the transplant, his new heart could not take the stress. It did not have the capacity to function like that of a 10-year old boy’s heart”, implying the heart they brought was aged more than the boy’s actual age and so failed to pump efficiently.

It is miserable that the effort of so many officials for transplanting the heart was just left fruitless.
