80 year old terrorized when she was alone

When an 80-year-old owner, named Dulcene Ansari was alone in her bungalow, with her six-year-old grandson, 22 people allegedly barged into her place around 6 pm in Mumbai.

Minaz, 39, had gone to drop her elder son to his karate class around 6 pm. On the way, she noticed a huge group of men and women walking past her.

Thought agitators and left: Minaz

In the beginning, Minaz thought that, some agitation might be going on and ignored it. ‘But I was shocked to see that the same people were swarming all over out bungalow. I saw some of the local slum-dwellers. They were misbehaving with my mother-in-law and pushing her out of the house. She is a senior citizen and can barely walk due to her ill health. They snatched her phone too. My six-year-old son was screaming in fear," Minaz said.

She then rushed into the house, but the goons caught hold of her and snatching the phone, asked to vacate the bungalow immediately.

"We were literary held by our neck and thrown out," said Minaz. "I pleaded with them at least to return my phone as I wanted to inform my husband about it. After half an hour, one person returned my phone and told me to leave."

Hide and seek with the police

After getting her phone, Minaz immediately called her husband, who then asked her to call to the police. Minaz then informed the police. But unfortunately, the people escaped from the place before the police arrived.

Then, Minaz, with her ailing mother-in-law and terrorized son, went to DCP office and call for help. But as she told that, the police had reached her house, she had to return back to home.

Minaz and her family then went to the Khar police station and registered an FIR. Currently, the police arranged a tight security to the bungalow and assured the same, till the miscreants are caught.

Andhrawishesh view:

Not just Mumbai, the similar incidents are taking place throughout the country in large numbers, on the people who are alone. Not schemes or other benefits, the government should firstly assure proper security to the people.
