Guntur district experienced another road accident on Thursday morning.

On Thursday, a car which was traveling from Guntur to Vijayawada hit a lorry with high speed which was parked at the road side. The accident took place on the national highway 16, at Kolanukonda,  Thadepally mandal.

In this accident, two of the people who were traveling in the car were dead on the spot and the rest of the two were dead in the Vijayawada government hospital. Guntur(North) DSP Ramakrishna, observed the accident place and took out the two dead bodies which were struck in the car.

Two of them were observed to be the residents of Krishna district, Vijayawada, Madhura nagar whose names are Uppalapaati Ramamurthy Raju, Prasad Raju, Driver Venkata Rama Raju. The details of one more person who is female is yet to be known. It is known that they were coming from Tirupathi to Vijayawada.

This type of Guntur are not new to the city or in fact the state. Specially, all the major accidents these days are taking place continuously in the same format which is like hitting the parked vehicles on the road side.

Is this the negligence of parked vehicles across the road or the negligence of the public who are unable to notice the parked vehicles and traveling with the high speed or is the negligence of the government who are not able to widen the roads and provide enough space to park heavy vehicles like lorry at the road side. A proper discussion is to be held regarding this issue and sorted out as soon as possible to avoid further accidents across the states.
