Jayanthi Natarajan Quits Congress, blames Rahul Gandhi

Former Union Minister Jayanthi Natarajan is likely to quits from the party on Friday, as she blames Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi for her exit. According to the sources, Jayanthi Natarajan is expecting to hold a press conference on Friday afternoon around at 12:30 pm to announce her decision. She was reportedly written a resignation letter to Congress President Sonia Gandhi, which she was  alleged a motivated campaign against her in the party.

Jayanthi Natarajan, who has served as an environment minister in the UPA Government, wrote in the letter that she has been targeted to reject big-ticket projects upon receiving specific requests from Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on environmental clearances. However, the projects were denied clearances despite being favored by former PM Manmohan Singh and other Cabinet Ministers.

In her letter, Ms Natarajan also claimed that she was forced by some Congress leaders to attack on BJP's Narendra Modi, where She also criticized Rahul of interference in day-to-day functioning of the UPA-2 government under former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
