The committee did exercise on several reports and the capital cities that were built over the past five decades across the global. It cited many examples in the report and said for 10 lakhs population of city, 50 thousands acres of land is required and to gather such huge amount of land and wealth for constructing, it would take a minimum of 6 years to maximum of 20 years.

Not only this, the committee said, for people to come and get settle in the new capital, it would take around 20 to 30 years time as capital construction is a continuous process and by then the cost would increase by 30 times and this is inevitable.
