Oppositions issue Whip to restrict

Opposition parties in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have issued Whip to the party men and also warned not to cross the line. As the notification for local body elections, ZP Chairman have been announced, ruling parties, TRS in Telangana and TDP in AP, have started the 'Operation Akarsh' [Attraction] to weaken the oppositions. Altered by ruling governments, Congress in T and YSRCP in AP, have issued Whip to restrict their leaders.

Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao met his group of ministers yesterday at his camp office and ordered all the ministers to take up the election process. He also directed them to grab as many as ZP chairman posts as possible and allow other partymen into TRS. The ruling party has been encouraging  many leaders from all the parties to join it and is moving strategically.  Telangana PCC Chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah ordered the PCC to look after leaders who are jumping into other parties and if found guilty, Ponnala said to issue suspension on those leaders. Further T-PCC is focusing on KCR's constituency, Gajwel and advised Medak leaders to built strong cadre to tackle T-CM. Also the PCC is likely to issue Whip to leaders who have already joined TRS. Overall Congress is seriously doing some work to prevent its men from quitting the party.

In Andhra Pradesh, we can witness the same scenario. Though AP CM Chandrababu Naidu is not bothered about leaders joining TDP but its the local leaders of 13 districts who are pulling YSR Congress party leaders. Jagan himself stepped into action and last week he meet leaders of Kadapa district and convinced them that YSRCP will come into power in 2019 elections. In spite of doing the damage control, few leaders are heard to have made up their mind and readying themselves to join TDP. Irked by this, YSRCP has issued Whip and threatened to have severe consequences if any leader quits the party for no reason.

How far this Whip will work in favor of oppositions, we have to see!
