GoM's Report before Winter Session of Parliament

The Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde who is heading the Seven Member GoM on Telangana, stated today that the report of the GoM will be submitted before Parliament meets in winter.

For the question when Telangana will be formed Shinde said that there is a process for a State bifurcation and when it is complete the bifurcation will happen.  Parliament has to pass it, he says, to start the process of bifurcation.

The GoM is going to include the suggestions based on the discussions held by the panel of high powered ministers on the sharing of water, power and assets.  The boundaries are to be demarcated.  Legal and Administrative functions have to be chalked out to ensure working of the two States from the same common city of Hyderabad for ten years.  Department-wise reports are also getting prepared to discuss in the next meeting of GoM.

GoM, as per Shinde, is going to deliver the goods to the Government before the winter session starts so that the proposal can be introduced in the Parliament.

Earlier the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh told media persons that the bifurcation of AP is a complicated thing but expressed his belief that they will come up with amicable solutions to draw a line.
