Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam (a ritual of cleansing) is conducted at Tirumal temple today. The priests of the Tirumala Venkateswara Swamy temple carried it out with sacred waters and aromatic Sugandh Dravyas in the prescribed process with the help of the temple staff. To facilitate the performance of the ritual of Tirumanjanam, pilgrims’ entry to the temple to have a darshan of the deity was stopped till 11.30 am.

Tirumanjanam is taken up as Anivara Asthanam is going to take place on 16th of this month.  The Tirumanjanam program was attended by the Chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Kanumuri Bapiraju and Executive Officer M.G.Gopal.

All other programs in the temple will go on as per the normal schedule from afternoon onwards.

The number of devotees visiting the temple is normal with 8 compartments filled in the Vaikuntham complex waiting for the darshan of the deity, Venkateswara Swamy.
