Seemandhra will not tolerate bifurcation

The people of Seemandhra are warning of large scale protests aimed at toppling Congress if the party moves ahead with a bifurcation. With the oncoming Panchayat elections, many has hinted at declining support for Congress as the party may not focus on the welfare of Seemandhra people.

There are protests galore already with some expressing anger in Ananthapur and Kadapa districts while RPS founder Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy is in Hyderabad staging a 52-hour hunger strike for a separate Rayalaseema.

Any announcement on the State's fate is impossible now with CM Kiran Kumar Reddy scheduling important elections back to back. Meanwhile Peddapalli MP G Vivek has vocalized his estimates in the event of a bifurcation. He said that Rs25,000crores will have to be shelled out to create a new capital and infrastructure for Seemandhra.
