Hanuman Jayanthi rally security tight

In the event of Hanuman Jayanthi, the birthday of the Vanara God the epitome of unflinching devotion today, there would be a Hanuman Jayanthi rally that will cover a major part of the city today. With several threats of blasts and other acts of evil that shook Bangalore recently, security has been tightened greatly to ensure that there is no obstruction to the rally and by the rally.

Furthermore, there have been several arrangements for higher security made at the time of need today. City Police commissioner added that the 20km long yatra would start from Gowliguda Ram Mandir and progress to the Tadbund Hanuman temple. Traffic restrictions are already in place. Police have been suggesting the people to opt for alternate routes to avoid snarls and any other inconvenience.

Additional police forces have been appointed. 10 Additional DCPs, 12 DSPs, 16 Inspectors, 16 Sub-Inspectors, 60 Head Constables, 550 Police Constables, 88 Platoons of APSP and four companies of Rapid Action Force will maintain peace by defusing any tensions in along the rally.

The police commissioner has also requested the public to cooperate and help them maintain law and order.
