Vishwaroopam case: Kamal Haasan moves Madras HC

Just like what he said earlier in the day, universal star Kamal Haasan has finally approached Madras High Court against the banning of Vishwaroopam movie by Tamil Nadu government for two weeks. In his petition, Kamal Haasan has mentioned that it was against the law to obstruct a movie, which has got its clearance from the censor board.

It has to be mentioned here that tomorrow is Milad-un-Nabi, a famous festival celebrated by Muslim brethren. Coincidentally, Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam was scheduled for a release tomorrow. Since a few groups felt that this movie would insult their sentiments, they approached the government on Wednesday and Tamil Nadu government also felt that the movie, if released on the festival day, it might trigger tension. Therefore, the government has banned the movie for two weeks.

Fans of Kamal Haasan, on the other hand, are reportedly unhappy with the postponement of the movie release as it's known that Vishwaroopam is most awaited movie.
