The state wing of the BJP had condemned the comments made by the PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana. Earlier in his statement, the senior Congress leader expressed that the oppositions were trying to corner the ruling party on account of power charges hike which was not correct.

Responding to the leader's statement, the national party lashed out at the leader that this was burdening the common man which needs to be detested by one an all. They also reminded him, even leaders from the Congress party expressed dissent over the erratic hike.

In addition to the BJP even the dominant opposition, TDP squatted outside the Chief Minister's office in the C-block of the Secretariat, demanding immediate roll back of the proposed hike.

Union Minister Chiranjeevi also expressed his concern over the issue, especially with the general elections just round the corner. He felt that burdening the common man would mar the prospects of the party at the electoral. Even his former colleague in PRP who is right now a Minister, C Ramachandriah wrote a letter to the PCC Chief in this regards to roll back the hike.

The roll back whether happens or not is sure to be the talk of the town for sometime. But the statement by Chiru is sure to attract the ire of the public soon. What does he mean, is the hike justified after the elections, questions the common man. (Wishesh AarKay)
