Mixed responses on toll fee

Gone are the days where travelling on national highways, especially between Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam was considered as risks.  Things changed drastically and the highway got converted to four way that left no scope for accidents without driving mistake.  Thanks to Express Way. But wait there, this is not the end.

For every 100 to 150 kilometres, there comes a toll plaza wherein you need to shell out good amount of money depending on the vehicle on which you are aboard. For cars, jeep and other light motor vehicles, you need to pay an amount ranging between Rs. 45 and Rs. 75 and for other heavy vehicles, the amount is much more higher. This new toll booth tax has come into effect recently. Although two wheelers have been exempted to pay the toll fee, a drive on especially 272 kilometre Hyderabad-Vijayawada stretch has become a costly affair. As of now there are three toll plazas between Hyderabad and Vijayawada.

There have been mixed responses on the express highway. While some said they had no problem to spend a little money as the roads became beautiful and journey became hassle free, some pointed out that it was just looting the public. Anyway, the sources said that the government was planning to make the state highways too as express ways and include toll fee for the same.
