CPI state secretary Narayana lashed out at YSR's rule and held YS Rajashekara Reddy' corrupt rule responsible for the current political vacuum in the state. Addressing the reporters in Tirupati, Narayana said the vigilance report on liquor syndicate was biased. He further demanded the government to direct CBI to investigate the role of corruption majors in connection with liquor syndicate.

It has to be mentioned here that Narayana earlier pitched his voice against Jaganmohan Reddy and questioned publicly about his alleged illegal assets many a time.  In order to bring down YSR's rule Narayana, in 2009, joined hands with the opposition Telugu Desam Party along with other two parties and formed into grand alliance, which however, couldn't come to power.
