Nama demands PM to resign

TDP MP Nama Nageshwara Rao has demanded prime minister Manmohan Singh to step down from the post. He said that PM should hold responsibility of CAG report, which threw light on several irregularities. He has also said that TDP would stall the proceedings of Lok Sabha on Monday over this. He has alleged that it was due to the government schemes and plans that the country faced so much of financial loss, he said. Manmohan Singh should take moral responsibility and tended the resignation immediately, he added.

It may be noted that even noted journalist and former union minister Arun Shourie, who is reportedly being looked upon as one of the role models by many, has opined that prime minister Manmohan Singh was inefficient. He has also said that a PM should be elected by the people. Also, there were several allegations on Manmohan Singh by political observers, who reportedly tagged him as the puppet. In fact, Time magazine in the United States published the photograph of Manmohan Singh on the cover page and labelled him as the under achiever. Amid these allegations, will UPA retain its power in case it declares Manmohan Singh as the prime minister candidate in 2014 elections is a million dollar question.
