Tension atmosphere is prevailing at the Osmania University campus as OU hostel authorities are vacating the hostels of the students with the help of the police. It is known that today is the last date for vacating hostels at the campus as the post graduate course examinations concluded. The sources said the university officials gave a notice to the students 15 days back for vacating the hostels. Since students reportedly didn't pay attention to the notices, the officials have stopped the supply of water and electricity to women's hostels.

It may be noted that students earlier expressed their reluctance to vacate their hostels citing the public examinations and other bank examinations that are scheduled to take place after PG exams. The students said vacating and shifting to someother places ahead of examinations would disturb their preparation.
