Jagan calls it historic, challenges Cong to disqualify his group, conduct bypolls

YSR Congress party president Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy today attacked both the congress party and the TDP saying that the two parties have no intention of bettering the lives of farmers in the state.

Addressing media persons at his residence in Hyderabad in the wake of the TDP’s no-confidence motion being defeated in the assembly last night, Jagan said that the Congress MLAs who supported him stood for values and went to the extent of defying the party whip and voted for the no-confidence motion knowing full well that they would be disqualified from the assembly.

“If you have the guts and wits, disqualify all the 16 MLAs immediately and at one go. We are ready to face the by elections,” Jagan challenged the APCC leadership.

Thanking the MLAs for supporting him and voting in favour of the no-confidence motion, Jagan said that opposition leader Mr Chandrababu Naidu used most of his speech for attacking the late YSR and not for raising the issues of farmers.

“Have you introduced the no-confidence motion against the Kirankumar reddy government or for criticizing the late YSR?” he asked TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu. He also attacked the government saying that the congress leadership had tried to lure his loyalist MLAs with several offers but all of them stood for the values and commitment and voted in favour of the motion. “The vote was a historic occasion,” he said praising his MLAs.
