Venkatareddy threatens to quit cong for T state

KomitireddyFormer Minister Komatireddy Venkatareddy today threatened to quit the congress party if the party leadership doesn’t take a favourable decision on creation of Telangana state.

Speaking to media persons in Hyderabad this evening, Venkatareddy said he had already resigned from his minister’s post and quitting from the primary membership of the party would not be difficult for him. “Telangana state would be formed only if political leaders quit their posts,” he said.

T congress leaders to meet on Oct 28

Congress MLAs of the Telangana region are meeting on Oct 28 in Hyderabad to take stock of the political situation and take a decision on their future course of action for achieving Telangana state.

Some of the MLAs are demanding the T congress leaders to boycott the AP Formation Day celebrations on November 1. This will also come up for discussion in the meeting.

Swami Goud seeks resignation of political leaders

Telangana NGOs association president Mr Swami Goud today demanded the political leaders of all political parties to quit their posts and then take up the agitation for the separate state. “Our strike can only be a supplementing factor for the main Telangana agitation which must be carried out by the political leaders,” he told newspersons at TNGO Bhavan.
