Hours before the TRS Chief Mr KCR-led team of T protagonists is scheduled to meet the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh this evening on Telangana, Telangana congress leaders met Dr Manmohan Singh at his office this morning and explained him the grim situation prevailing in the Telangana area of AP.
In the 40-minute meeting, the 11-member team of the congress leaders urged the PM to make the announcement of T state formation immediately.
“We appealed to him to direct the CM to lift the power cut immediately and restore power supply to the farmers and also pay salaries to the striking employees,” Minister Geetha Reddy told journalists after the meeting. “We urged him to take all possible steps immediately to announce the formation of T state.”
Geetha Reddy said the PM listened to them with rapt attention and promised to discuss the same with the party president and core committee members at the earliest.
