Investigation at brisk pace: CBI

CBIJDCBI Joint Director Mr VV Lakshminarayana said today that investigation has been going on the cases related to accumulation of illegal wealth by the YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy and also in the APIIC-Emaar land scam.

He told media persons in Hyderabad that they have got files from eight government departments with regard to the cases and the same are being examined.

It may be mentioned that Mr Lakshminarayana on Tuesday met the chief secretary Mr SV Prasad in the secretariat and gave a list of files to be handed over to the investigating agency from various departments for examination. The request has been conceded and several departments have handed over the required documents, copies of GOs and files to the agency.
“It is a time-consuming process and will take time to examine them,” he told journalists. Meanwhile, the CBI has issued notices to some more individuals and organizations asking them to visit their offices for questioning.
