Sai trust gets notice from AP Transco

babaThe Electricity department today served a notice to the Satya Sai Central Trust asking it to pay the dues of Rs.3.5 Cr. immediately.

The trust in its notice said that the government has not cleared the subsidy part of the electricity bill of the Trust since the beginning of January 2010. “It is therefore your responsibility to pay the amount,” said the notice sternly.

The trust was granted a subsidy in the payment of electricity bills in 2010 by the state government. But the government seems to have conveniently forgotten the issue.

Trust members, who are already busy replying to a notice of the government, were not available for comment. The trust members are asked to send a report on or before July 10 with all the details of the trust, trust members, their professions, income sources, properties, deposits, auditors, expenditure and subsidiary trusts.

The trust members who have failed to get an appointment of the Chief Minister Kirankumar reddy to discuss the issue have a new headache now in the form of the notice served by the electricity department.
