MP, Minister abuse each other in public

Congress MP Mr Sarve Satyanarayana, Textiles Minister P. Shankar RaoCongress MP Mr Sarve Satyanarayana on Tuesday threatened to get the Textiles Minister P. Shankar Rao dismissed from the cabinet after both of them abused each other in foul language in full public view at the inauguration of a school building at Bolarum in Secunderabad.

The spat between the two Telangana people’s representatives started when Satyanarayana found fault with the District Collector N. Gulzar for not displaying his name prominently on top of the inaugural plaque of the school.

Coming to the rescue of the Collector, Minister Shankar Rao asked the MP not to make an issue out of nothing. Raged at this diktat, Sarve Satyanarayana abused him alleging that he was collecting bribes from contractors in the cantonment area. Soon, both of them found themselves abusing each other in the foulest language forgetting the civic sense.

The Minister and the MP stopped short of coming to physical blows while the Collector Gulzar looked at them in stunned silence. As the public representatives continued to hurl abuses at each other for a while, Gulzar left the venue helplessly.

“I will see that the corrupt Shankar Rao is dismissed from the Cabinet,” the MP threatened after the Minister also left the place.
