Police today conducted post-mortem to the body of the DSP of the Kurnool district (CID) Ms. Hemalatha who was found dead in suspicious circumstances in her house at Durgasamudram in Tirupati on Monday.
Meanwhile, the relatives of Hemalatha attacked her husband Madhu Murthy alleging he was responsible for her death. “We doubt the involvement of Madhu Murthy behind her death,” said the maternal uncles of the diseased.
Before the police collected the dead body of Hemalatha for post mortem, there were fierce arguments between Madhu Murthy and her relatives over who should take possession of it.
Her husband reportedly told police that Hemalatha had faced tremendous pressure recently with regard to a case in Nandyal. Police have registered a case and are investigating to find out whether it is a case of suicide or murder.
