Corrupt DMK regime on its way out in TN

jaya

The trends in the counting in the five states where assembly elections were held indicate that the people of Tamil Nadu have finally shown the door to the corrupt DMK regime. In West Bengal, as everyone expected, the Left Front is on its way out as Trinamool Congress, led by the most popular Mamatha Banerjee, is finding its way to the pedestal of power.

While a tight race is emerging between LDF and UDF in Kerala, congress is leading in Assam. In Puducherry, as of now DMK is in the lead when reports last came.

In Tamil Nadu, Jayalalitha is set to assume power as Chief Minster for the second time while in West Bengal Didi will assume the mantle of chief minister to lead the state ending decades of the Left Front rule.

Counting trends in five states at 10.45 AM

West Bengal: Left 66, TMC 203,

Kerala: LDF 64, UDF 72, BJP 01

Tamil Nadu: AIADMK 170, DMK 38

Assam: Cong 61, AGP 09, BJP 08

Puducherry: DMK 10, AIADMK 05
