Have you ever heard of monkeys befriending babies and kids and taking care of them? But believe it or not, a monkey befriended a two month old baby and was visiting it regularly as a close friend. It was even hugging the baby and was not allowing any one to come near it when it was taking care of it.

The monkey was regularly visiting the two month old baby of the couple Kishore and Gauthami who were residing in Srinivasanagar of Anantapur town for the last three days. The couple said that the monkey watched the baby from a tree top when the baby’s grandmother was bathing it in the backyard of the house first time.

When the baby was taken into the house, the monkey followed suit along with old lady and even gave the baby milk kept in a bottle. When it was giving milk to the baby, it did not allow any one including the baby’s mother to come near it.

Initially, Ms Gautami was afraid that the monkey may harm the baby but it turned out that it was befriending it. The monkey was even kissing the baby and hugging it. Daily some local people are visiting the couple’s house to view the friendship between the monkey and the baby.
