What's on Konda Surekha's mind?

Konda Surekha, after she left Congress and joined YSRC, she was active in Jaganmohan Reddy's party. She even accompanied in many padayatras taken out by Jagan then. But now, if we have to go by what observers say, Konda Surekha was apparently not happy with no or low importance in YSRC and that could be the reason why she was not often seen in television these days making allegations on the ruling party leaders or whatsoever.

YSRC seemed to have realized it as the reports indicated that Konda Surekha was made in-charge of Parakala constituency. And her husband Konda Murali was given in charge duties of Bhoopalapally constituency. The sources even said that this move was taken by YSRC to ensure that Konda Surekha and her husband don't approach TRS in the wake of TRS inviting leaders from other parties to join his party.

Will Konda Surekha be really happy with the in charge duties given to her? It is known that Konda Surekha belongs to Telangana region and Telangana movement is still underway to achieve Telangana state. At this point of time although YSRC said it was not against Telangana formation, it still didn't apparently make a clear cut statement on Telangana. In fact, when Jagan attended parliament sessions a few years back (when Telangana movement was at its peak), Jagan displayed the placard, which supported unified Andhra Pradesh.

So, it's still a question whether Konda Surekha was reportedly maintaining low profile in party because of this unclear stand on Telangana or because of no in charge duties assigned to her. In fact, tt has to be even mentioned here that Konda Surekha in December 2012 said that it would YSRCP would honour Telangana sentiments although it was undecided on Telangana during all party meeting. But even after six months of her statement, YSRCP is still undecided on Telangana issue!

Now that she and her husband are made in charges, it will be clear that they were particular about in charge posts in case they become active in party affairs. Otherwise, as per observers, one can speculate that Konda Surekha wants YSRC to come out with clear cut statement on Telangana. Let us keep our fingers crossed to know what's on the mind of Konda Surekha!
