Amitabh celebrates mystique seventies, in grandeur

Normally on birthdays most of us start of on a jubilant note after much anticipation and end up the day after kicking the sack with remorse.....because we have to wait another one long year to celebrate this great day....(oops!). That should have been the feeling, the legend of Indian Cinema, Amitabh Bachchan should have had last night. As he was thoroughly overwhelmed by the kind patronage, the film fraternity across the nation had showered on him. Amitji as he is fondly called by his associates is an adorable persona in the industry and has been a role model to superstars across the nation.  Pure dedication, sincerity and down to earth esteem have given him what he is today.

Bollywood Shahenshah was filled with gratitude for the warmth extended by one and all on his seventieth birthday celebrated at Mumbai on Thursday. The elite list of the attendees included the superstars of all tinsel worlds of the country. Noted among them were Dilip Kumar Rajnikanth, Shahrukh Khan, Chiranjeevi, Anil Ambani and many more...

Touched by their gesture the actor said, "I never took my birthday or myself as a National thing. I never considered about my popularity. It will be very silly on my part if I think so. My birthday is as normal like a common man's birthday. I don't feel special about it." He added that the unexpected presence of the elite audience made the day really special for him.

In the later part of the address he thanked all his directors, producers, co stars and technicians calling the names of the prominent. He said that but for all of them he would not have been what he was today. As a birthday boy the veteran said that he never expected better gifts in his life. As he said that his greatest gift was the love of his well wishers. He added, 'My son Abhishek and daughter Shweta have been the best gift of my life. And now my granddaughter Aaradhya, grandson Agastya, Navya, Naveli are my biggest gifts. '

The eminent legend also quoted that with the arrival of Aaradhya his family is complete. He had a word of praise for all his family members and his close associates on this special occasion.

It was star delight at Jalsa in Vile Parle.  Fans gathered in large numbers to wish their favourite star. Many sported a t-shirt with a slogan, 'Saat Hindustani un mein se ek 'Sharabi', jiska naam tha 'Anand' jo gaya 'Bombay to Goa' aur ban gaya 'Don,' as an ode to his timeless stardom.

How does this pompous day end for the Bachchan Senior. 'The day will only end once the family sits together for a cup of tea,' says wife Jaya Bachchan. (With inputs from internet-AW AarKay)
